Dear employer, for some time now I declare it is often difficult to recruit staff with a minimum commitment of effort and ability. Work as a hairdresser washing senior leaders, helping professionals with experience and learning it does not seem to work enough to be in a warehouse distribution company is too tired or have to work a weekend in hospital is something that a number of nurses today, after studying a diploma and knowing that the health service is 24 hours 7 days a week, not willing to accept. The worst case is no longer refused the conditions, but sign a contract and after a few days dismissed on the grounds of another job more interesting for them, or simply express their displeasure by they are doing.
Given the situation, we could argue that the working conditions offered are not acceptable, and maybe some activities may be so, but when the interest shown in other sectors that are neither the trade nor of the hospitality, it seems that this should be the main reason. I believe that this is mostly an attitude and that employers demonstrate that their complaint has bad luck due to the almost full employment that exists today. That is, the offer corresponding to your request is a group of workers are circulating only willing to accept the precise conditions in which they are interested and are a minority. The same data will reinforce employment and an economy not remain standing with employees who were continuously rotating job.
Now, although I do not know a widespread attitude, something is cooking; Cardús Salvador, in an article in La Vanguardia on 17 October entitled "Skip the elevator," gave some hints when posed: "what if you leave the lift of social interest in much of society, so that a generous social protection public guaranteeing minimum levels of welfare with few downsides, as a waiver explicitly the advantages of the system or conscience can not follow is the path of unsustainable development or subjective only because the cost of the effort to improve the levels and excessive sense out materials for the benefits they provide ". The sociologist questioned after reflecting on different social situations that we all are easy to recognize every day (it's very worth reading the article), and even state that the renunciation of the progress they entail are limited, had the article with one last question: "what proportion of indifference to progress can resist a political community and how to pay the costs of lack of contribution to the joint project".
Maybe by then the lack of progress due to lack of a minimum of effort and commitment? Dear employer, if so, I think those who legitimately express their discomfort when I leave someone planted a week have started to work, should not be set both in the minority, those who for one reason or waive other system - are quite free to do so or not - and should concentrate more on those, the majority, maintaining the illusion to overcome spiritual and material, and in any case, if the content this improvement we have to redefine, let's do it, but what is indisputable is the benefit of the idea of progress for humanity.
One of the foundations of this progress has been and is the aspiration to know more, be more educated and have more knowledge, and why yes, but to use it to apply it and build a better life and for this we need other skills that complement our and this is only possible within the framework of organizations, and most of them are those who want to progress, because in the end, like it or not, life goes on organizations linked to the way employees, customers, suppliers, managed, and ... nuclear organizations are a part of life in society. Now, normally, when these organizations need to hire people, what tends to worry about is that candidates have the skills to do the job, and probably now more important than their skills are their values, ie before you know you can do the job or not, to know whether or not what we share is important, respectively, because if you do not agree, the dispute is served, but if we do, we have a future together. The skills can be learned, values are what they are for everyone, can change in time or not.
